I have been doing some research on the traditional Jewish Cedar Meal and have a question in regards to the participation of everyone present in the four cups of wine. I know that the third cup, which is the cup of blessing, is consumed by all at the meal but are the other three cups of wine community cups as well? Does just the presider participate in all four cups while everyone else only participates in the 3rd cup only or is it done in another way. Any help would be much appreciated

I believe everyone is supposed to drink all four cups. There is a lot of information about it online, but it will be easier for you to find if you spell it properly: Seder (or Passover Seder) not Cedar.

I’ve seen several sites that discuss it and they have been vague about the participation of all in the cups other than the 3rd cup of blessing. Thank you for the correct spelling. I remembered after you said this that this is the correct spelling.

Well, eHow and Wikipedia both said that they all have to be drunk by everyone. Not sure how reliable they are, but they were pretty definite.

Good luck!

:DDrinking cedar would be a toughie, more appropriate to Lebanon than Israel :p…I only take in 1/3 of a cup of sedar, I’m on a diet…😃
