Does "Filioque" matter? Corrected!

My husband and I recently started going to a Byzantine Rite church, and we’re still learning about the differences in practices. The Byzantines do not believe in the inclusion of Filioque in the creed. Does it make that much of a difference?

Dear friend,

I have been informed that Byzantine Churches that are in union with Rome do not deny the Filioque, but do not mention it in the Liturgy. Be sure, though, that the church you are attending is in union with Rome.
