Does giving water to the ill during communion invalidate it?

A friend of mine brought up an interesting situation that I thought I would ask here for him. His Aunt is having some serious health issues, and came to church with him this morning. After receiving communion, she was having difficulty swallowing the host so he gave her a sip of water to keep her from having problems with it. He then asked if that would invalidate/change the substance(accidents) of the Eucharist?

A few sips of water to help swallow a host would not invalidate the matter any more than the saliva in the mouth normally would. Remember, the person needs the water because they are most likely lacking saliva (which would begin dissolving the host).
