Does God answer Protestant prayers?

This is kind of an offshoot of churches resembling the Church of the first century.

Do you believe that the Holy Spirit works through Protestant Denominations? Do you believe that God answers the prayers of Christians that are not Catholic. To me the evidence is a resounding YES. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ. The Great I Am.

I don’t want anyone to try to convince others that their particular church is the best. Just whether Jesus answers our prayers to Him regardless of whether we are Protestant…Catholic…or Orthodox. And if I left out anyone…I apologize.

God is not constrained by religion. He “organized religion” for the benefit of man, in man being able to worship Him, as He desired, NOT as we imagined.
God hears all prayers. God will save whom, God will save.

I believe so. They lack the fullness of truth, but that doesn’t mean God hates them.

I think God will answer the prayers of anyone, as long as they are worthy prayers (So don’t expect to get a new $200,000 sports car just because you pray for it.)

Someone once told me that God always answers prayers – just that sometimes the answer is “No.”

If an Agnostic or Athiest is serious-and they make a change, or even say, “God, I don’t know if your even there-but I need help”. God HAS to hear it and shout-“Hey, this guy might finally get it!”

God is loves all humanity in a way that we will never be able too.Catholics and Christians, need to remember.that.

I was very disturbed by a Post addressed to you on the Thread: Do we know for a fact we are saved?

Strawberry, you may very well be on a path to Salvation. So, do not be discouraged, when you are attacked. Keep your eyes on God. I am certain His eyes are fixed on you, awaiting you with open arms.

Of course He does. If He didnt, I wouldnt be catholic. : It took ALOT of prayers before I converted to get here

Please don’t anyone get me wrong. Of course he does. I just found myself frustrated with another thread regarding which church is more like the church of 2000 years ago. I found some of the posts by Catholics to be less than…ummmm…shall we say charitable?

I really can’t see any reason why God wouldn’t answer a protistant prayer, do you? Let’s not forget, no one born a protestant today, is responcible for schism in the church.

You know, that’s a really good point. If one is brought up a Protestant, until they reach the age of reason and perhaps really start investigating or considering Catholocism (which may be all the way in midlife), God doesn’t listen to their prayers? Or until they’ve completed RCIA?

I must say it’s refreshing to see a topic every once in a while where there’s mutual agreement.

I didn’t read nor participate in that thread as it has become too long, I think.

It is sad when Catholics are unable to be role models in this forum. Granted, we do sometimes get carried away during an argument but to be uncharitable really does not reflect well on ourselves and perhaps to some extent even our own religion.

In one of the threads I found this great wisdom from a Protestant poster who commented on uncharitable posters, “If people choose to be mean and nasty, the responsibility falls only on them”. Isn’t that too true? We don’t prove anything by being uncharitable other than to show how lacking is the Christ that is in us. What a shame that ironically a Protestant shamed us into realizing how childish we can be sometimes.
