you crossed the path into bullying a long time ago
I was mystified about this accusation, and actually thought maybe your use of English was different from mine so I went to look up the word.

a person who uses strength or power to harm or intimidate those who are weaker.

It occurs to me that you realize the strength of the arguments presented to you here, and feel intimidated, and know that your position is weaker.

No one here has any power to harm you, so it must be you are commenting on your perceptions of how it feels to be confronted by a stronger position.

Actually a bully doesn’t need to be stronger, they’re usually emotionally damaged people who feel the need to lash out.

Back to the topic?

The vast theology of the Catholic Church is kind of superior to anything else I have seen so I would say no. The many saints are proof of Her sanctity.

If you want to think so, go for it. Can we get back on topic before this thread gets closer down?

I think maybe a lack of looking at the model the saints give us may be a problem. Even though Jesus and Mary are a primary in this, the saints lived within the rules of the Church.

Saints are indeed fascinating people but I’m not sure they’re proof. There exists people in many religions who provide miracles and pay claim to a special degree of sanctity and faith.

Not really. It was their virtue not the miracles they performed. I can’t think of any outside of Catholicism who are like that.

You have to be specific. Preferably someone who I can research. Otherwise it doesn’t mean much.

But do you believe that Jesus gave Himself to a people who would be true to the Faith until He returned?

Sure, I just think He has plans for each of us. But this is off topic and I don’t want to get the thread closed down. Feel free to pm me 😊

The only reason this thread might get closed, is if there is uncharitableness persisting.

When debating theology, it’s best to simply provide your perspective and position and leave it at that.

Claiming groups of people are laughing at the thread, or persisting to tell people they are wrong will get you nowhere.

I hope this thread remains open, because it’s a good question.

I am beginning to think that you are attempting to sabatoge it, because it gets under your skin. If you think it’s toxic, then maybe you should leave?

I rather think it is facing some issues within Christianity, and now even situations of Christians leaving Christianity altogether.

Catechism of the Catholic Church:

“However, one cannot charge with the sin of the separation those who at present are born into these communities [that resulted from such separation] and in them are brought up in the faith of Christ, and the Catholic Church accepts them with respect and affection as brothers … All who have been justified by faith in Baptism are incorporated into Christ; they therefore have a right to be called Christians, and with good reason are accepted as brothers in the Lord by the children of the Catholic Church.”

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: “Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word.

The baptismal water is consecrated by a prayer of epiclesis (either at this moment or at the Easter Vigil). The Church asks God that through his Son the power of the Holy Spirit may be sent upon the water, so that those who will be baptized in it may be “born of water and the Spirit.”

Can you show where Scripture says this?
Open a Bible and not the protostant versions.
If Jesus is the Truth, and Scripture alone leads everybody to Truth, why do we have opposite “truths”.
lack of understanding and failure to listen to the voice of the Lord and putting you faith in human beings instead of relying on the Lord.
psalm 146: 3
It seems somewhat hypocritical that you can laugh and mock the posts of other members here with your peers, but get offended at members here posting what you consider to be disrespectful.
I can say the exact same thing.

Interestingly, all the denominations and invalid Christian sects were founded by men. It’s a historical fact.
