Does God Cause Evil?

God is the Ultimate Cause of everything and therefore ultimately responsible for everything but it would be evil not to create anything simply on account of evil! Only the Creator is perfect and successful in **every **respect:

385 God is infinitely good and all his works are good. Yet no one can escape the experience of suffering or the evils in nature which seem to be linked to the** limitations **proper to creatures: and above all to the question of moral evil.

We cannot expect to have everything for nothing. Every advantage has a corresponding disadvantage. In life there is no such thing as a free lunch!
