Does God Hate Me?

No, God does not hate you. God loves everyone, including the most wicked. He hates their sins but He loves the person.

John 3:16 RSV For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:17 RSV For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.

You might like to ask yourself this question.

If God is love then could he ever hate his creation?
or,
If you have white paint then would putting black paint with it create black color? no it would be neither. God can only be Himself and that is white (pure, loving, truth).
He may not like or might hate some of our actions but He does not hate His creation.

Hi, DW. God is love. God doesn’t hate people. Re confession and your OCD, it’s advisable (and a great kindness to the priest) if you tell him - after Bless me, Father, etc. - that you suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder. Why? So he will know that you struggle with scrupulousity as well as other things. THEN confess your sins. Mentioning your illness to the priest will ease communication for both of you.
