He said you must become like a little children

I would think so

God bless

Please state your reasons why 🙂
Your question borders on anthropomorphicizing Gd, since it is widely considered that only human beings have a sense of jumor.
However, since He created both you and me, one could argue that indeed G
d does have a sense of humor!

HA!!!

I truly believe he has a sense of humor and I was going to refer to the platypus as well, and a porcupine, and a blowfish, and puppies, and kittens, etc, etc, etc.

I would think so.
Unfortunately, I do not know Him this way.
It seems I seek Him when I suffer.
Alone, I find His Love. In the grips of fear, I find peace. In my mourning, He consoles me.
But, I drink up sunny days, and He fades from my mind and from my heart.
Thanks for the OP, I should be looking for that side of Him.

I don’t mean to rain on any one’s parade but platypuses and strange weather patterns aren’t very reliable indicators of theological truths. Only humans have a sense of humor because of the fact that humor is a function of the brain (of course Jesus would have had a sense of humor since he is a human, but the divine nature would not possess a sense of humor).

Maybe that’s what He wants you think…
Yes, Humor is a function of the brain. For us; maybe it’s different for Him. I should think so!!
Since God can do anything, He can have a sense of humor; of His own nature.
And Who gave us this function?!!!

😃

He can have a sense of humor; of His own nature.
He could have sexual desire, but he doesn’t as that is a function of the body, so too with humor. Besides, a sense of humor necessitates an ability to increase in happiness, God, being both eternal and having the ultimate form of beatitude, is incapable of increasing in happiness.

Can man have something good which God does not possess?

Unless someone is making the claim that humor, mirth, enjoyment, laughing in the face of adversity, and not taking yourself too seriously only come from rejecting God, I think we’d have to say, Yes, God does have a sense of humor.

Then we have the Shroud of Turin…a photographic negative on a piece of cloth 2000 years before photography was invented, (Let em explain that says God.) Or the woman clothed with the sun (Our Lady of Guadalupe) on another piece of cloth…and not visible to the naked eye, but only under magnification, her eyeballs reflect the people in the room when the image was first revealed…they didn’t know this 500 years ago…modern technology revealed this…and each eyeball reflects this scene with slightly different angles…the way real eyeballs would reflect it (Let em explain that says God. At least that’s what I’d say if I was God.;)) Oh yeah, God has a sense of humor. Then there’s the herd of pigs going over a cliff after Our Lord cast the evil spirits out of a boy and allowed them to go from the boy into the herd. (Let em explain that says God.)

I wonder what the intent of this thread was from the OP.
Philosophical? Light-hearted conjecture?

Just wondering…
