Funny question.
I would think God loves us more…a hierarchy thing !
I bet Jesus swatted a few mosquitoes in His time.

Most probably, but the question was, “Does God love worms and mosquitoes?”

My counter question to the O.P is, “Do you love them?”

“And God made . . . every thing that creepeth on the earth after its kind. And God saw that it was good.”
–Gen. 1:25

“For thou lovest all things that are, and hatest none of the things which thou hast made…”
–Wisd. 11:25

"… a thing has existence, or any kind of good, only inasmuch as it is willed by God. … Hence, since to love anything is nothing else than to will good to that thing, it is manifest that God loves everything that exists. … "

“… Augustine says (Tract. in Joan. cx): ‘God loves all things that He has made, and amongst them rational creatures more, and of these especially those who are members of His only-begotten Son Himself.’ …”

Of course! God loves everything He creates!😃 Everything God creates is good! 👍 I may be terrified of frogs and toads and lizards, but doesn’t mean they aren’t good!

Most certainly. As much as a nuisance (and danger in the mosquitoes’ case) these organisms can be to humans, they all have very specific and very important (and beneficial) ecological purposes. Mosquitoes are food for… well basically anything that eats bugs. I personally dislike them very strongly, but they seem like they can never get enough of me. I always seem be their first choice if I’m outside. Ugh…

Worms are more directly beneficial though, since they aerate the soil, fertilize it, etc. etc. I’m pretty sure that if you’re growing your own vegetables, people actually have really specific ways to get worms to be able to thrive under your plants. And they also provide food sources. Certain worms are even considered people food.

Huge rant, but God definitely loves them, considering creation as a whole and not just our perspective. Though I do sometimes wonder why mosquitoes specifically had to be created. Flies don’t bite, so what amounts to vampire flies still kind of… bugs me.

And flies?
Good question!

Maybe so, since they all form part of his Creation!

There was once a post on CAF that was talking about hell, and it was saying maybe the insects could have their heaven there!

Some people say Mexico is bug heaven, an entomologist’s delight! So, if they behave themselves, they might get a chance to come here!

Our dislike for some life forms is egocentric (humanocentric?)

I, for one, hate worms with everything that is in me, for what they will one day do to me. But that is a self-centered way of seeing them.

If NA were free of earthworms, as it was before the Spaniards brought them; what would fishermen use for bait? 🙂

Matthew 10:29-31 Can you not buy two sparrows for a penny? And yet not one falls to the ground without your Father knowing. Why, every hair on your head has been counted. So there is no need to be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

God loves everything but we are loved more, don’t forget we can choose or reject Him, the worms cannot reject Him.

And flies?
God loves all that He has created. He made worms and mosquitos and flies good, so why shouldn’t He love all that He made good? Of course, He loves them differently than He does rational creatures. God bless you.
