Does God speak to us in dreams?

In order for all the bible prophecy to be fulfilled, there has to be people here on earth, a major event, asteroid, flooding, would throw a wrench into that…I wondered though, if maybe God would send another global killer (like the flood) to start over AGAIN, just like he did in Noahs time.

However, I think such a thing would be mentioned in the bible if it was going to happen, and the bible does say the world will be it was in Noahs time when he comes back, says nothing about starting over again.

Alright, putting Bible prophecies aside, why do you think that’s interesting? It’s too weird and I remember them vividly.

Its interesting you see such flooding and destruction and then everything is back to normal, Im assuming the people are back as well?

Just kind of strange the reason God brought on the flood in Noahs time, and if you look at the world today, we are doing the same thing, trying to push God out of the way, if he decided it was best to kill them all and start over once before, nothing stopping him from doing it again, but he did say he would never flood the earth again, thats why I thought of asteroids or meteors, but I dont think he ever said he would never decide to ‘start over’ again though, like he did in Noahs time.

I do want to add I dont think he would really do that again, the times we are living in now, especially when you look at the bible, we are getting close to his second coming, there will be many people dying in these times, but not entire nations of people…there has to be a certain number of people and nations alive for bible prophecy to happen.

Only in one of the dreams I saw everything back to normal. In every other dream though everything was destroyed and it was absolute chaos. I was alert and surviving in every of them. For example, in one I found myself alone on the streets and I struggled to find 4-5 other people to survive with. We saw something like a tribe of really dirty people below a wretched tall tower (made out of wood and a little steel) . We climbed the tower as fast as we could and then I saw myself from a third person view and the horizon was filled with water. It was coming at extreme speed. In a few seconds it violently hit the people underneath (mind you, I saw them getting drowned) and destroyed parts of the tower. It almost fell into the water and I was desperately clinging onto something. The other people didn’t resist. And that’s where it ended. Probably I died. But in the others I survive somehow. They’re quite different (as in one the airport I was in got flooded) , but have the same topic. Hopefully they’ll stop appearing. 🤷
Not sure about prophecies as I’m really not religious, although I have always been interested in this area of life. Our city is right next to a quite big river. Hope nothing happens 😃

I hope they stop because I don’t know exactly what they mean. Therefore, other than being interesting, they’re quite useless.

I think you are right, that any source of communication God wants to use with us is useless unless we are open and prayerful.

If one starts out with the attitude that a communicationis useless, it most likely will be.
 
God can require that a dream be interpreted (Joseph and Pharaoh); but in the absence of someone to do that, there is likely nothing there.

Communication is not useless, but in this case God doesn’t seem to communicate anything clear. What are your ideas more exactly?

This is quite true, of course. Dreams have been called the Dark Speech of the Spirit. They speak in the language of symbol and metaphor, not our usual waking language of words. I believe that their purpose is exactly what is stated in Job 33:15, that they are to warn us,and save our souls from pride. A read of Daniel Ch. 2 might be helpful, as King Nebuchadnezzar askes something that can only come from a supernatural source. Daniel prays,and God reveals it to him. He says "He reveals the deep and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him. Dan. 2:22 What is in our unconsicous is deep and hidden in darkness (obscured) and is not known to the waking mind until it is revealed. I think that most dreams are so personal it is not appropriate to discuss their content on an internet forum.
 
Well, considering that I’ve had dreams of getting ready to play football against Klingons and fighting Daleks in the White House, it could have been a way of telling me to stop watching so much Star Trek and Doctor Who…

The Dreamer Within borrows images from our daily life to communicate with us.
