When a person chooses separation from God does God suffer?

We suffer when we loose someone we love. I would imagine since God is love his suffering for a lost soul would be enormous. Is this right?

What do you guys think? Is God capable of suffering?

In His humanity on earth, yes He experienced suffering. God as pure spirit does not “suffer” in the sense that we understand pain and discomfort. We can only apply human personification to describe “emotions” unto God to understand what “pleases/displeases” Him…i.e. what is His will and what isn’t.
:o

We can’t conceive of God’s emotions anymore than an insect could understand ours.

Right, we just know that God remains unchanged, in perfect bliss, despite all the evil He knows about. And that we will share in that aspect of His divine nature when we are in Heaven. 👍
