I am not as young as I used to be and when I work out, afterwards my hip hurts. I went to physio and was taugh some stretchs that help but not enough.
Would it be disrespectul to put holy water on my hip? Would it cure it?

No, it would not be disrespectful to put holy water on your hip. Also, holy water alone will not cure you. Prayers along with holy water may help to cure you or it may not. It is up to God to decide whether or not He is going to cure you through this means. But be assured, God is merciful and He is the Great Physician.

As I’m sure you must already understand, it is God that cures – not holy water. But since the water has been blessed by an ordained priest it would be most appropriate to use it along along with prayer.
Trust in God. And accept His answer to your prayer, be it yes or no.

Yes, I agree with Reginator. I tell you from experience, I’m a believer of Jesus Christ, and the Bible instructs us to use “anointing oil” and pray the prayer of faith. The oil really has no power to heal it’s a matter of obedience, the bible says to anoint their (sick person) heads with oil and pray the prayer of faith.It is God’s Spirit that has the healing power and we receive it by faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

This is the verse that you are referring to. As you can see, it says that the person should summon the presbyters (another word for priests) and that the priests will pray over the person and anoint the person.
Anointing with oil …is only for Priests…as per the instructions of the Church…and Scripture…
Lourdes water…(it is not the water per se…it is the faith and the gift of God via Our Lady…just as in the New Testament…Jesus chose to use mud or spit when healing persons at times…it was Jesus not the mud… or spit…)

This is true. However, I have heard of cases where laymen have used anointing oil for various reasons and that it was allowed by the bishops. However, a while back, I heard that the bishops conference or somebody or something discouraged this and possibly even forbade it.
There’s certainly no disrespect in seeking God’s help and mercy. Indeed, He wishes for us to call upon him with our needs. Holy water is a creature which has been blessed by the Church, and as a sacramental it carries and confers blessings to anyone it comes into contact with.

Just one correction. Holy water is not a creature. A creature is a living being such as a human or an animal. I mean no offense by correcting you. Holy water is a sacramental which you correctly understand.
