Definitely before the Orthodox extermination of Catholics in Constantinople in 1182. Sad and as regretful as both sides are, many Orthodox and Catholics have come together to resolve the sins of the past through forgiveness. You seem to gloat on the past. Not healthy and not thoroughly being honest.

Furthermore, there is the issue of who would have fought in those crusades? The best of the fighters having been murdered in cold blood, it was obvious that the church was nothing more than the plaything of the King of France.

Quit complaining. You chose to side with your Moslem masters when comparing historical evidence of peace between Catholics and Muslim rulers. I have read how the Orthodox praise their Muslim masters. I suppose this is the true strength of the Xenas’ and Hercules’ of Orthodoxy? Thankfully all this is no more.

I have not heard of this three Goddesses and One God mentioned in the Quran, so I cannot comment on that. It is possible that there is some contextual explanation of it, but I will not trust many Muslims here to properly explain it.

Can you quote for the benefit of all of us the passage(s) you are referring to, and maybe provide your analysis of them? I do not own a Quran and I have no idea how I would go about looking this up (I am guessing that typing “polytheist Quran” into Google would probably bring up all sorts of Islamic apologetics sites that would leave me even more confused than I am now).

I think he may be referring to the Satanic Verses (although taken out of context in this case). I could be wrong.

dan1el, why waste our time in your useless rants when you have the entire main page of this domain to browse through at your convenience? You will find all the answers there already. Topics most Catholics here have discussed hundreds of times with people just like yourself. Or are you just plain lazy just as you are with your knowledge of historical Christianity and the Bible?

I simply do not understand “What does the church have to do with ***JESUS’ ***message???” Why is it always, "The Church"…they make up their own rules as time goes on? They make up new “saints” as life goes on…what is it? What is it that gives yall permission? God? How can that ever be proven when yall can’t take things into perspective and say, Jesus said instead of "the church"?

How is what I have replied with in ANY WAY me or anyone else telling you to “just pray”? You asked why we say “the Church” instead of focusing on what Jesus said, but here is evidence that JESUS HIMSELF talked about the Church!

About the Matthew comment, I am sick of this stupid question from Muslims. Sorry. I am becoming frustrated at reading the same arguments over and over, even in cases like this when I am simply presenting you with the reason why we Christians talk about the Church in addition to the Bible, not actually asking you to accept it. I am just telling you, this is why we do it. This is why it is Biblically-supported. The fact that you do not believe in the Bible is your problem. I am not going to get into an argument over who wrote Matthew because it’s just going to end with “Well, THE QURAN IS FROM GOD AND THE BIBLE IS NOT, SO YOU ARE WRONG” in bold letters in Comic Sans font with a bunch of underlines that makes you look really silly and obnoxious (please stop this and just write using standard fonts; taking out all the tags in your posts when I reply to them is very annoying). simply because Jesus left no book but a church established by Him through the apostles and their disciples in different countries to different audiances. The book you have in mind did not exist, does not exist and will not exist and you have not found it, do not find it and will not find it, because it is in your own mind. So when we talk about the church, we are refering to Jesus’ apostles and their disciples and their disciples starting the first century with people who knew the apostles and were taught by theme …in other words, we are talking about people appointed by the apostles, who surely knew who they took their teachings from, before the NT existed as it is today…that is why, if you want to bash the Christian faith, you will have to bash Jesus’ apostles’ and their disciples, before you bash the NT …that is why, you and other Muslims are *scandalized *by our reaction to “who wrote this or that” and simply cannot understand that like the book written by Jesus, this is another problem in your mind, not ours. Simply put, if the apostles’ disciples and their disciples and other disciples who quoted the nowadays NT starting the first century, if they knew who they took their teachings from and was good for them, it is good for us even if we do not have a video recorder.

Humanism is a direct result of the Age of Enlightenment in Europe, which, so you may no longer be as historically ignorant, was a result of the Protestant Reformation.

I’m not an ultra-nationalist, I only state the facts. I am not an America-lover; I know that the only perfect country will be the new Jerusalem.
The point is that if the Catholic Church hadn’t fumbled, they wouldn’t exist the way they do. You can’t argue that the Catholic Church actually resembles the Church that had so much power in the book of Acts that even when a Governor went to speak, since he didn’t give God the glory, that he was struck by an angel and eaten of worms on the spot. No, a far cry from it…
