Does it matter that the Democratic party took God and Israel off its platform?

Hey, they defined themselves, makes it easier for me to make an informed decision about their platforms.

I put no faith in either party when it comes to looking for what we Christians know as truth.

It is easy to say, “Oh those Democrats!”, but it seem disingenuous when considering the party who unabashedly rallies behind a man who said about asking God for forgiveness and spoke of the blessed sacrament:

“I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don’t think so,” he said. “I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture. I don’t.”
Trump said that while he hasn’t asked God for forgiveness, he does participate in Holy Communion.
“When I drink my little wine – which is about the only wine I drink – and have my little cracker, I guess that is a form of asking for forgiveness, and I do that as often as possible because I feel cleansed,” he said. “I think in terms of ‘let’s go on and let’s make it right.’”

They all disgust me.

it is a lot more than “Oh those Democrats!”

it is the dems stand on:

abortion
transgenderism
anti-christian politics (but pro islam)
identity politics
subjective morality
premarital sex
unmarried cohabitation
easy divorce
cheap and readily available contraception
a somewhat lax attitude toward adultery
pornography,
homosexuality, including same-sex marriage
etc. etc. etc.

pornography,
It’s foolish to believe that most of this list is mutually exclusive to Democrats, but when we are blinded by politics we often project universal faults on the opposition.

I’m just not a fan of blind acceptance of the lesser of two evils.

you are right no one side has a monopoly on most of these thing, but the dems makes no bones about them and actively supports them as a party platform. the gop does not.

So, evidently hypocrisy is a virtue?..i would say it’s just as bad as the other side, and anyone turning a blind eye to it is complicit.

At Catholic Mass? I sincerely hope Melania has corrected him…

Yes I thought that trump was presperterian? And communion is a symbol?

no the gop is not as bad as the dems. the gop doesn’t include any of the items in the party platform and outright disagrees with most of them. now your local gop politician may vary.

are you making excuses for the dems and their evil acts. can you deny that the dems believe and act on these issues?

unfortunately we can’t buy buy a barrel of all good apples. you can buy a barrel with a few bad apples or buy a barrel of rotten apples throughout.

they are not equal. some evangelicals are trying to clean up the gop. whereas some catholics makes excuses for the dems. they are not equal. who is complicit? as a note other denominations also line up on both sides of the issue.

Would you please point to the DNC position papers that show where these changes were made?

Thanks.

Please link the DNC Platform Documents. Thank you. ETA. For example, this is the current party platform.

This is the current platform wrt Isreal:

We will continue to work toward a two-state solution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict negotiated directly by the parties that guarantees Israel’s future as a secure and democratic Jewish state with recognized borders and provides the Palestinians with independence, sovereignty, and dignity. While Jerusalem is a matter for final status negotiations, it should remain the capital of Israel, an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths. Israelis deserve security, recognition, and a normal life free from terror and incitement. Palestinians should be free to govern themselves in their own viable state, in peace and dignity.
