Hi everyone,

I’m going through a bit of a time, mentally and spiritually.

Does Jesus know “me” personally? Can He see me? Does He see me? Now in the year 2020?

I was and am embarrassed to ask this question,so I looked through several older posts trying to find a similar question. Most likely because the answer is very obvious to the sane minded. Something in my mind can’t accept that Jesus knows me, personally, and He knows my life on a personal level. The details of my life. I mean Jesus, not God the Father or both. (sorry if that sounds weird)

Years ago I posed this question to a priest and he said “Jesus knew you before you met your husband “. We were speaking of my marriage but even then I wondered.

Knowing that Jesus knows me personally will help me tremendously I hope . I am currently struggling in my life and only want this assurance if it’s true. (No matter how crazy I sound… sorry I’m just not well lately). I figured what the hay, just ask straight out already! Does He know every time I see a monarch butterfly it reminds me of Him and I get so excited. Does He see that?!

Thank you, I miss it here, it’s been a while, and I hope everyone is doing well.

Our Lord knows when a sparrow falls to the ground, and you are worth more than many sparrows. He even knows the number of hair strands on your head.

Yes. He knows when you cry, when you rejoice, when you are full of faith, when you are lacking faith, etc. God in Heaven is watching everything we do, because we know that we will be held accountable for every deed on Judgment Day. How can we be judged if God didn’t see us doing everything we did? He would cease to be God if He wasn’t watching us.

Now that Christ has come and has made available the forgiveness of sins and the ecstatic pleasures in the next life, let us rejoice that God cares about us that much. When He was hanging on the cross, He was thinking about you. He cares about you and listens to you.

If you already accept the idea of an omniscient God, it’s no stretch at all to accept He knows and understands you 🙂

Thank you. I can’t imagine Jesus was thinking of me personally on the Cross with how many tens of billions of people in the world in every generation? was He thinking of every single soul in every generation? i’m just thinking out loud. Thank you again for your thoughtful response.

I think every believer, Catholic or not, should refer to what the Bible says for a richer understanding.
2 Timothy 4:22, The Lord is with your spirit. Christ today is with us in our spirit! Ask Him and he will be with you personally.

He loves you more than any human being can. He cares about you more than any person ever could.

He loves you without condition, and would willingly and lovingly climb on the cross to save you, even if you were the only person who ever sinned and needed redemption.
That is how much he loves you.
There is no love greater than to lay down one’s life for a friend,

Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. He knows you well. So does your Guardian Angel.

We are so blessed that God lives within us. So as part of the Holy Trinity Jesus knows and adores you. It’s our opportunity to relate and talk to Jesus in prayer or even just be…and feel his love permeate.

Jesus knows you infinitely more and better than you could possibly know yourself.

Thank you everyone. your answers were healing. I will reread them throughout the day.

There is a piece of advice Jesus gave to St. Faustina on praying the rosary while meditating on the sorrowful mysteries.

The advice was to meditate on the concept of Christ dying on the cross for you specifically.

The agony in the garden, the scourging, the crown of thorns, the carrying of the cross and the crucifixion, all undergone by Christ for you specifically.

He also tells her that it pleases him when people do that because it will convince them of his love.

Think of the personal (to YOU) implications of the omnipresence of God. This has made a huge difference in my own confidence in the personal and extravagant love of God for me. God is fully present to you - YOU - all the time. He never takes his eyes off you. He hangs on your every word. He collects YOUR tears in his bottle. He just plain likes you. He has chosen you. He had prepared a place for you in heaven. If a person treated us like God does, We would have to conclude that we personally were their absolute favorite. There’s a very real sense in which every one of us can think of ourselves as his absolute favorite. This is a crazy and extravagant love He holds out to each of us. If your feelings tell you otherwise, they are outright lies. I make myself believe what he says above what I feel…

That was a beautiful article thank you. so simple and true , He is our Creator so of course He knows me more than I know myself. I think this thought will stay with me for a long time.
I thank you very much for this article.Jesus’s name was not mentioned in the article but it is the same with Jesus yes?
