I seem to remember at my marriage 20 yrs ago being asked, “will you accept children lovingly, from the hand of God?” but when I looked up the rite, it just says, “from God.” Is “from the hand of God” used in an earlier rite, or non Catholic rite? I would like to use the term in a poem, but not if I am mistakenly remembering it.

I cannot speak for non-Catholic rites but the wording “will you accept children lovingly, from the hand of God” does not appear in the modern rite nor does it appear in the 1962 Roman Ritual. Either you are just misremembering or perhaps the priest misspoke at your wedding.
