Does matter how you do it or what you do?

Some people are very harsh with those they love. They push them to be better. While others are more gentle. Some people have loving, but overbearing or overly protective parents. Will God judge parents for being too critical, harsh or overly protective even if their intentions were right?

A guy once told me that his qigong teacher once told him that “It is not what you do, but that you do.” I like this a lot. As far as what god will do or how we are affected by what we do-I have know idea.
A quote from St. Philip Neri --“If you wish to go to extremes, let it be in sweetness, patience, humility and charity.” I don’t get the idea he believed in being harsh or overbearing. Peace-be well.

What works for me is to keep the Lord in front of me at all times, and it is most difficult as I have to work alot every day and have several people dependent on me. Patience, kindness, overlooking defects …even my own, to keep my eyes on the Lord.

He is not seeking perfection. He is seeking union with us, and we cannot judge our selves. Just giving ourselves to Him and also the results…He does the rest.
