Does my marital situation prevent me from receiving Communion?

I am Catholic and remarried outside of the Church. My previous marriage was anulled. My spouse is not a Catholic. He has been married previously in a civil ceremony. I have read that there are several different options to be able to get our marriage recognized by the Church…My question is…Can I take Communion?
