Well I think that is a pretty safe assumption when we are talking about a burial in my culture and tradition.

A black tie can be a bit too much for me as I wear black pants, a black jacket, black dress shirt, black shoes and wear black eye glasses.

No, just ordinary eyeglasses, Original Penguin frames bifocals- nothing terribly expensive.

I only wear a black fedora if its raining.

I would say if the person was a close relative then yes wear black if you have it. Otherwise you’re fine as long as it’s not too bright.
