Does one need Confirmation for matrimony?

Does one need to receive sacrament of confirmation before she could get sacrament of matrimony?

Actually, I don’t think so, but I’m unsure. It’d be good if there’s supporting documents. Thanks

It’s not canonically required but it is very strongly recommended.

Canon 1065.1 Catholics who have not yet received the sacrament of confirmation are to receive it before being admitted to marriage, if this can be done without grave inconvenience.

Can. 1075 §1 Only the supreme authority in the Church can authentically declare when the divine law prohibits or invalidates a marriage.

§2 Only the same supreme authority has the right to establish other impediments for those who are baptised.

Can. 1076 A custom which introduces a new impediment, or is contrary to existing impediments, is to be reprobated.

as above, Confirmation is a requirement for matrimony, but not an absolute, will not prevent you from being married, but a continual refusal or delay in completing your Christian initiation may raise doubts in your pastor’s mind about your intent to life fully in accord with Catholic teaching after your marriage, and about your maturity.

One note, because it always causes confustion. If you are married outside the church, civilly, common law, or cohabitating, you must rectify that situation first, according to your pastor’s direction, and return to a state of grace through confession, before you can approach the sacrament of confirmation (or of Eucharist, of course).
