Does praying help on a subconscious level?

Hello
First I’d like to share my experience and then ask. The day before yesterday I spent living without mortal sin (as per my knowledge) and felt really good. But the really good part came when I was going to bed. Before sleeping, I prayed to st Joseph for myself, my father and grandfather, prayed to st Helena for my mother, st Anne for my grandmother, and st Sebastian for my brother, asking them to help me share the gospel with each of them.
Now I’m going to be an adult but am still kinda scared about dark rooms, especially sleeping in them alone. So I said Hail mary full of grace. . . Only 2-3 lines which I could remember, and then imagined all of them looking at me while I slept. I felt safe but thats not the most important thing that happened.
I am not usually the person to get up before 7 or 8 and only with 9 hours of sleep do I think about getting up. But that day, I slept so peacefully that I was shocked.
You know the feeling when you wake up you feel like banging the alarm against the wall and the bed feels super comfy and your eyes close on their own? Didn’t happen to me that day. I just opened my eyes automatically when the alarm went off at 5.30 and turned it off and my eyes were wide open. There wasn’t even a lot of that icky feeling in my mouth which you normally have when you wake up. I didn’t feel like sleeping again. In fact I felt like I had just gently closed my eyes for a few seconds and opened them once I heard something. That was one helluva sleep. Never before did I sleep without saying “five more minutes” I felt happy and for the first time ever I said a morning prayer before jumping out.
Now as anyone would, I thought it was a coincidence that I slept so good the night after I prayed and there was something physical (scientific if you will) about it. But it wasn’t a straight uninterrupted sleep, I did wake up to go to the washroom and stayed awake for at least half an hour after that. What’s more I even prayed last night and had a marvellous sleep when I woke up today.
There’s nothing spiritual about this right? Or is this a sign

I would generally say that such things could easily be both spiritual experiences and have mental/subconscious effects, and that (since we are both spiritual and material beings, and those aspects interact with each other) there is no particular reason why the same effect can’t be both mental and spiritual. All the laws of the universe, including those that govern our brains, exist and operate at God’s will, and He can easily interact with us within those laws.

Or basically - Spiritual or mental/subconscious? Probably both.

Prayer is very powerful and has an effect on our whole being and life. If you barely ever pray, I recommend that you pray daily and all throughout your day. God bless you.
