Does praying to Patron Saints really work? Is it is Biblical?

Of course it is biblical; it is the Community of Saints that we pray to. I invite some saints to pray the rosary with me. They really know how to pray and my prayer is improved.
 
There have been times when I pray to a particular saint, and it didn’t really seem like any good came from it!

The fact is that Saints are not just going to be able to get us what we want, but it seems like that would be such a wonderful thing. But would it really?

What if parents were to give their child everything they wanted?

By faith we know that God gives us what is best for our souls according to His will and in his time.
 
Yes it does work.

I say the Worker’s prayer to St. Joseph (composed by Pope St Pius X) every day I go to work to inspire me to work harder. On many occasions it has inspired me to persevere in work when my mind started to wonder.

I also ask for the intercession of Blessed Oscar Romero whenever I feel overwhelmed at work(a priest once told me when I told him of my feeling overwhelmed at work, to the point of having panic attacks, that Oscar Romero had the same problem, and that he would ask God to give him the strength to do what he could…but to accept that he could not do everything, and what that what he could not accomplish, should be entrusted to God).

I also pray the rosary often for Our Lady’s intercession. While my sister was pregnat she had numerous health problems and I prayed that she and her baby would be okay. After numerous scares she gave birth to a healthy baby girl who is now celebrating her fourth Christmas with us.

Salutations
It is Biblical, praying to the communion of Saints. We believe we die and hopefully get the elevator up.
Even your dead relatives can be asked to help continue your prayers in heaven. It is GOD who performs THE MIRACLES OR Answers prayers.
We pray to Our Father and say Hi and give some praise, then petition prayer. Then we pray to a Saint of your choice. But you are asking them to continue your prayers to Jesus, who will bring them before the Father, asking for His mercy. The Holy Spirit does the action in the Trinity. God answers the prayer.
Our Saints, relatives and souls in Purgatory continue praying as in a prayer group. God hears the petition over and over from their faithfulness.
Sometimes, the answer is NO or WAIT!

My take on it is that if what we are asking them to obtain is not in God’s plan for us, they will definitely, instead, pray for our good in some other way that is compatible with God’s will.
 
Prayer isn’t magic. It isn’t a question of does it “work,” but what it does for you.
