I dont think Satan, but just a devil suddenly pushed me forceful away on the floor and yelled at my face to stop while I was praying novena on the sixth day this year but not in the past years. I dont know why a bad spirit is attracted to my chapel or it is time God wants to train me to fight with devils.

I fought back and trusted in the Divine Trinity. I learned prayers to expel evils spirits and temporary break novena prayers into two sessions for a while, then later few days on and a day off for rosary prayers. Any experiences?

In a homily I heard, the priest said that Satan hates Mary more than God because Satan knows that God is greater than him and can plausibly accept being defeated by God. But Mary, being only human and lesser than an angel, would not only defeat but humiliate Satan if she one. He knows how much of a threat she is, but even worse than losing the battle to her would be to have his pride wounded by being defeated by a lesser being.

Yes, in the past I was attacked both with temptations and what the Catechism calls “involuntary doubt” about aspects of the faith.

While going through a period of these doubts and feverishly praying to end them, I ran over a snake crossing the road. While I was not actually praying the rosary at the exact time, it was during a period when I was praying it every day (at least once) and using it as my main spiritual weapon to end my doubts. I saw the occurrence as a sign that Mary would crush the snake and that the Church and our Lord would ultimately triumph in this world, and my doubts (along with the life of the poor snake crossing the road) came to an end.

Wonder how do you know it is the snake? by appearance or vision or spiritual reveal?

Spiritual reveal via the Holy Spirit. The snake also confirms his identity when challenged to do so in the Name of Jesus. I’ve dealt with many battles in my life, and the Lord has surrounded me with experts (priests/exorcists) who are also battle hardened and know many things from experience alone.

I just want to comment only about one aspect discussed here. That is-Whether satan hates God? My feeling is that neither satan hates God nor God hates satan.Actually satan respect God as he knows God’s power. In Job,satan is shown as a well known visitor of God seeking God’s permission etc.His behavior during the temptation of Jesus was gentlemanly. In the NT you can see satan acknowledges and understands Jesus as the son of God which even many Jews could not do.Their request to send them to the herd of swine was kindly agreed to by Jesus (M 8 :31).
Thus it is clear that satan and God don’t hate each other.

Satan cannot love or respect anything or anyone.

Satan hates everyone including the other demons.

Acknowledging God as God is different to respecting Him.

Mary replacing satan? I thought She was greater than angels, so it’s more like above and beyond. A different league.

One would think a highly intellectual being like an angel would at least use rational sense to grasp and understand it.

How scary pride is to destroy even angelic intelligence.
