Does Satan listen to my prayer intentions and then act against them?

We announce prayers of petition at Mass… So far things have worked out 🤫

Satan has been denied the powers insight into our consciousness through his rejection of God. There is also that old notion that devils can’t read our hearts, but they can hear the words from our lips. Sure, there’s some credibility to this belief, but look at it from a different perspectives and it still remains a mystery. Spirits don’t have physical bodies, thus no ears, thus no ear drum and ear canals to transfer the mechanical sound waves to biological vibrations and electro-chemical impulses in the brain.

Can they “hear” your thoughts? They’ve been denied direct access, but they do have indirect access. Meaning, the devils in the spiritual world are well aware of angels as they are basically the same creatures. If you are standing there, praying, your guardian angel is undoubtedly praying with you, thus any devil around your angel would be aware of your prayers … stuff like that.

Even angels and saints don’t have access to your hearts and consciousness, they are only permitted by the will and action of God; thus, God would not be willing to provide those innermost secrets of ours to demons, would seem that they don’t have a right to know.

We profess our prayers publicly, for ourselves, for the clergy, and all the members of our church … we do it in every Mass.

In the end, I wouldn’t be concerned at all about what the devil hears, sees, or even wants, he has no power over us as we are walking in the light of Christ.

Be wary, as there are lions, but the lions can’t bite you! But, we can protect the lions from biting others.

Blessings,
Kevin

satan can only hear your prayer when said aloud ,but he is also very intelligent,he can perceive your actions and observe your life and act accordingly.

I John 3: 8 Everyone who commits sin is a child of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. 9 Those who have been born of God do not sin, because God’s seed abides in them; they cannot sin, because they have been born of God. 10 The children of God and the children of the devil are revealed in this way: all who do not do what is right are not from God, nor are those who do not love their brothers and sisters.

1 Peter 5:8 Discipline yourselves, keep alert.Like a roaring lion your adversary the devil prowls around, looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in your faith, for you know that your brothers and sisters in all the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering.

John 8:44 You are from your father the devil, and you choose to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Acts 13:10 and said, “You son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, full of all deceit and villainy, will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord?

Revelation 12:12 Rejoice then, you heavens and those who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea,
for the devil has come down to you with great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!”

Psalm 74:23 Do not forget the clamor of your foes, the uproar of your adversaries that goes up continually.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.
Psalm 8:2 Out of the mouths of babes and infants you have founded a bulwark because of your foes, to silence the

Psalm 44:5 Through you we push down our foes; through your name we tread down our assailants.
Psalm 44:7 But you have saved us from our foes, and have put to confusion those who hate us.
Psalm 60:11 O grant us help against the foe, for human help is worthless.
Psalm 60:12 With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.

Funny this topic came up as I just got a call from the IRS threatening me the lawsuit…it wasn’t really the IRS; it’s a scam that has been going around for a long time. Anyway, we probably should think of the devil as a scam artist. He would tell you anything, but is it true? He probably just wants to see if you fall for his lies. Like the fake IRS calls, he tries to keep threatening if we don’t see things his way. He would like to make everyone believe he knows what you pray for and what you did in the past.

I don’t understand why these people who call and threaten don’t just stop because everyone knows they aren’t for real. They just want the person to pay with a debit card whatever they tell you that you “owe”. The IRS does not harass anyone. They send a letter if there is a problem. The same with the devil. You would think he would stop since most know that he is a liar, but he never gives up.

I thought everybody was well aware when calls were “scams” until I found myself once on a shuttle bus having to explain in great detail to the bus driver that the Jamaican lottery “you just won 20,000 dollars, please send us a processing fee” or whatever calls were fake. I’m sure there are people who fall for those fake IRS scams too.

As long as they think they can get SOMEONE to fall for it, they will do it.

I know of someone who was told she won Publisher’s Clearing House Sweepstakes. She at first did not believe them then after a while, they were so convincing that she almost gave them money for the taxes and processing fee.

They prey on people like vultures.
