Does Satan want our world to endure, or does he wish to destroy it?

This post is the result of another thread where I suggest that we live in a world of ‘NECESSARY’ deceit and lies. I believe that the entertainment industry and media are a source of vital national security. I also believe that Satan has infiltrated the world’s governments and the entertainment industry and mass media to insure that the world endures as long as possible. Satan wants to destroy our souls and religion, but has a vested interest in the endurance of the secular world.

These are a part of my own personal belief system and I ask the everybody please respect them.
 
Doesn’t the world have to endure? It’s not up to us to decide when it will be destroyed. That is in God’s hands.

I do not believe that anywhere in the scriptures does it say that our world will be destroyed, but that it will evolve into a kingdom ruled entirely by God.

“Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.”

The world as we know it will be irrevocably changed by the return of Christ. I’d say that is a destruction.

That’s true. Either way, it’s in God’s hands. As long as people live in the world as it is now, there’s going to be some kind of civilization.

But what about whether Satan wishes for the world to endure, or see it destroyed. Does Satan help hold everything together here on earth in his own best interest. Just look at all the sin in the world and the great influence Satan has over our world.

It probably depends on the situation. Satan’s goal is entirely centered on spreading sin and damnation. If he can do that by supporting an immoral society, he will. If he can do it by destroying a society, he will. But as to whether civilization itself is inherently Satanic? I don’t think so. It’s more of a necessary situation until the world ends.

We just have to be on our guard and make the best society we can.
 
“The world” as the planet earth, will endure as long as it does not fall into the sun.

Regarding the “human world” or the biosphere, I for one do not believe it could be destroyed; we are not powerful enough to do that. In any case, there will still be human life when our LORD appears.

But what is Satan’s desire for our world? Does he want to destroy it or does he want it to endure? The implications of this are many.
 
Satan probably doesn’t want to destoy the world, but he would rather enslave it. That’s what I think.
 
The only thing satan wants is to get back at God by sucking as many of us as he can get into hell. :mad:

I would imagine that Satan does indeed have an interest in the endurance of the world, because he knows what’s in store for him when it ends! - ‘Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels’:Matt 25:41.

He also knows he has a limited time so he is among us doing his best to take as many souls with him as he can: ‘Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.’ (Rev 12:12)

So whether he wants the world to continue indefinitely or not, thankfully it is not up to him, but to Almighty God.

St Michael the Archangel, defend us in the hour of battle; Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God restrain him, we humbly pray, and do thou, oh Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of Almighty God, thrust down to hell Satan, and with him all the wicked spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.

That’s what I think too. But what about Satan’s influence over the world? Does he influence us covertly through the mass media and world governments? Are the entertainment industry and media sources of national security in the eyes of Satan? Is the world under the spell of Satan?

So, Satan wants the world to endure so he can corrupt more souls. I believe that we live in a miserable and corrupt world, governed by Satan (i.e., the secular world).

‘If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.’ John 15:19
 
People in position of authority will make decisions, with the excuse that it’s in the best interest for the masses. Decisions based not on the Word of God, but on secularism. Satan knows how to deceive mankind.

I really like your quotes, but you do not address my main question as printed in the title of my thread.

Still does not address my main question, but I believe what you say is true and profound. People perceive reality based on common beliefs, but fail miserably when it comes to the deep lies and deceit of Satan within the secular world.
