I think science shows there is a force behind the scientific laws that that we don’t understand. To say that this, or a force beyond that, is God would have to take into account the Kalam cosmological argument. Time cannot be eternal, and a non-personal Force cannot be outside of time. Without this argument we are helpless. Confucians believe in an impersonal Heaven which created us. How can something impersonal create something personal? Well Vatican I condemned the idea the we come out of God. God created from nothing, so our personhood comes from nothing (but by an almighty Power); so all the more could an allpowerful Force create us out of itself.
