She sounds too immature for you to me. She got the message, she didn’t have the courtesy to answer, let it go. I’d say go on Catholic Singles.com, or avemaria singles.com. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and find a mature woman who really wants to go out with you with the possibility of a long term relationship. Onward and upward!!!
BTW - I met an awesome guy on one of those websites. Really a wonderful and exciting experience for me.

Hehehe… handshake is bad news huh?
The other person she hugged was a guy?

Look… three things can be going on here:
  1. she is as close to the others as she is to you, so the wonderful connection you have may not be so special for her.
  2. she shakes your hand because she is beginning to like you so much that she feels ackward hugging you and maybe she wants to tell you: here is my hand… **I want you to see me as a respectable woman… keep your distance… (there is so much in this) I know I would probably give the hand to a guy I liked much rather than hugging him even if this might seem strange to some.) Hugging can be a sign of being layd back… giving hand is in a way deeper… **
  3. she is trying to get you a little bit jealous… She is not playing games in her own eyes, but she could well be making a statement: you want me? come get me!
I know you may think that women are hard to figure out. I just wanna say that the interest she shows you, your conversations and the way she holds your gaze … well… it appears she likes you. I suspect she is now testing to see if you have courage and interest enough to ask her out.
I’d say: go for it 🙂
👍
I agree with my bolded text of your post. In that – it took me over a year to “land” my now-DH (of over 11 years at that 😃 ). I was so passive that it took one friend to tell my guy I had the hots for him. And here he thought I was out of his league! :o

OP: call HER. Not her friend. Don’t text. Step up like a man and ask the lady out. 👍

Oh well. Looks like you bombed on this one. It wasn’t meant to be by the looks of things. You probably could have just struck whilst the iron was hot and had a better chance. A lesson for next time. The key, if you don’t want to scare them off it to keep it casual… (in my experience anyway).

Hey hey relax

Who said he bombed?

Listen, take it from me. Waiting doesn’t always mess things up.
I’ve been waiting a freaking year now for the woman I…well…really like. I’m not waiting by choice…but some women are actually patient. So not all is lost for him.

I agree that the man has to be bold, but lets not give up on hope just yet.👍

I just wanted to say that I personally would be put off if a guy called or texted me without my having given him my number. And my friends wouldn’t give that information out either.

She might not have gotten the email or doesn’t check it regularly.

I would just continue to try to see her in casual situations and let things evolve…

Bold **and **decisive…
As a man, I’d rather call it courageous and able to deal with things. Be careful, dear ladies, while falling for “bold and decisive” since “despotic” is not exactly what you are after.

Oh, man, my take is that she’s crazy about you.
She is probably a nice moral girl who doesn’t want to appear too aggressive. I’d say ask her out in a straightforward manner. No beating around the bush. Girls like a guy with confidence. However they should also be up to the task, if she acts too coy, look for someone else. She might be a tease, too nice to say “not thanks”, or just boring. Ask her out, and if she doesn’t respond, let it go. At least you’ll know for sure.
I wouldn’t read so much into it, and it is far better not to speculate than to presume she’s crazy about you. Too many guys take that route today and convince themselves of affection that isn’t there, only to be hurt later. Simply be direct and ask her out. If she says “no,” then respect her “no” and don’t push it any further.

A few days is not very long. Maybe she hasn’t checked her email or has been too busy to reply. Sounds like you’re making assumptions too quickly.

Women check their emails every day…even my own mother does.

If a girl doesn’t reply immediately, she’s thinking of what to say…

nah, bold and decisive sounds better!

Depends how busy she is. Sometimes even messages on my phone don’t get replied for a day or two or three, and I’m a man…

Well, if a girl emailed me or texted me and I really liked her…I’d have immediately replied…

I guess some people would wait just to torture the poor soul…

But if a girl isn’t interested, then she will try to find a good way to say it…She definitely won’t be compelled to email back right away.

OR considering all the other signs in this case, she simply just hasn’t CHECKED her email. I’ve known girls who have a million email addresses…I don’t know which one they use from one time to the next…

Speaking from a female point of view, I would reply not too eagerly, but it wouldn’t take days, if I liked the person. (if I were single) So, that fact that a few days have gone by, unless she doesn’t have access to her email for some other reason, she probably isn’t interested. Sometimes, girls can just be friendly, and they don’t mean anything by it…relating to romance, or interest in a guy. At this stage of the game, I wouldn’t sit by my computer waiting, or by the phone waiting…if a whole week goes by…I would just let the situation go. She’s not interested. Or it’s too soon for her to show interest?

I hate being right… 😦

Don’t sweat it. If she’s the girl for you, she’ll come around in her own time, without having to be poked and prodded. If she’s not, then there’s somebody better out there. 👍

Er…Just to let you know…I’m not the OP

I just feel bad for him

I had guessed that a delay in response would mean something bad…and I just got womanly confirmation for that…so I feel bad for the OP

LOL – sorry, then. Nevermind the OP’s love interest. 😛

Depends what kind of relationship it is.

Perhaps, but few people mean to cause suffering by that.

Possible.
