Does the Bible warn us of a deceptive religion?

The way I see it is that the whole world is deceived by their religions.
This is were all the wars come from.
If we all did as we are taught by the Scriptures we would not have wars.
We would love our enemies as we love ourseves.
No one would fight a preson that would show loving kindness to them for very long.
As long as we force our religions and democracy on others we will never know peace.
How would you like it if someone drew a picture of Mary and called her a whore?
This MUST STOP or we are doomed!

Ok. Let’s check your reasons below:
This is were all the wars come from.
This is quite a stretch. For instance, it would be hard to argue that both World Wars had religion at their root.
If we all did as we are taught by the Scriptures we would not have wars.
Well, yes, but we are fallen people in a fallen world and only when Christ comes again, will war cease.
We would love our enemies as we love ourseves.
Agreed. This is Our Lord’s 2nd great commandment, but I don’t see how this means everyone’s religion is deceiving them unless you are trying to make a dichotomy between Our Lord and religion, which would be a very difficult argument to make.
No one would fight a preson that would show loving kindness to them for very long.
Agreed, but again, this does not support your main thesis.
As long as we force our religions and democracy on others we will never know peace.
Our religion as you would have it explicitly teaches that we cannot not force conversions. As far as democracy, I agree it is not the great cure-all everyone thinks it is, but as far as force, I’m not seeing it if you are referring to Iraq in which the general thrust is that Iraqis *want * it. A debateable point perhaps, but again, does not really prove deceptive religion. (Which you have not specifically stated which one, so it is hard to tell.)
How would you like it if someone drew a picture of Mary and called her a whore?
Ahh, perhaps you are indirectly referring to the Muhammed cartoons. In any case if someone called Mary a whore, I would be sad and pray for that person. I and most of my bretheren would not start (and Our Lord’s church would never approve of) a riot over it.

God will judge and His judgement will be just.

That’s true nowadays in the U.S. It’s not true in Latin America (if I remember rightly there were riots when that wacky Pentecostal bishop guy smashed a statue of Mary on Brazilian TV), and it certainly wasn’t true of Catholics in the past, who were capable of being extremely lethal in their rage if symbols of Catholicism were dishonored.

The same goes for most people of any religius stripe. Catholics were forced to convert to Protestantism in Protestant Europe or they were called traitors and were hanged, drawing and quartering (main reason Protestantism spread so rapidly over Europe is because the Kings wanted control of a state religion).

The best way to look at anything thats done “in the name of God religion or whatever” Is the person doing such a thing is generally going after personal ambition over what actually Jesus would want. He wanted us to love our neighbours as ourselves. But us being sinful people that follow our own hearts just cant get it into our thick skulls to listen to God. Our personal ambitions come up and we mess up.

oh for the topic Christ gave numerous warnings to watch be skeptical and not follow just anything.

3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own likings, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander into myths.-2Tm4:3
