I understand that as Catholics we can believe in either a Young Earth or an Old Earth. My question is specifically about evolution in regard to humans.
What does the Church teach regarding the Genesis account?
We’re Adam and Eve the real first humans, and was Adam made from the dust of the ground and Eve from Adam’s rib, or does the Church allow for the belief that the first humans evolved from animals?
If the Church teaches that man could have possibly evolved, how does one read the Genesis accounts?
