Quite a few. But it doesn’t matter. It’s a matter of obeying Christ and his Church, or disobeying. We can’t pick and choose which of God’s laws to follow based on our feelings or our convenience or our sympathy for others. We follow God’s law because He knows best and He has a plan for us, even if it is difficult to understand.
fair enough. i agree

just to move the discussion a little bit further

so how do you convince someone who thinks that this is their only hope to think otherwise?

Choi, perhaps it is within God’s plan that some couples may not be able to conceive, so that those parentless children , needing love and care, find a loving adoptive family.
And sometimes, after adopting a baby, who will bring much joy to your home, one day
you may still be rewarded and conceive your own. There are many cases like that.
Anyways, nobody owns a child, but he or she is a soul sent to earth regardless
via whose womb.A child we must recive with open arms, for we all are instruments of
God’s plan. How do I know? Because my family includes adopted children, who have
given us the happiest days of our lives!
And one day when you pass away, and face your maker, you will proudly be able to say
that you gave your home and heart to a baby that had no one.

You may consider calling Catholic Charities and going to one of their orientation meetings.
There is an age limit to be considered for adoption of a newborn. But there are toddlers that also need a home.
Good luck and God bless you .
