Does the Catholic Church really want to convert the world?

After reading much of what the recent popes, including Pope Francis during his visit, have said on the world stage, I wonder if the Catholic Church leadership really thinks its important to convert non-Catholics to their faith. Is this important to Catholics and if so, why doesn’t Pope Francis say more about his faith? It seems like he is saying that all faiths are equal expressions of man’s spiritual quest for God.
