Does the Catholic Church teach the inerrancy of the Bible?

A Fundamentalist friend of mine who attended Providence University (I am not sure why) claims that several of his professors claim that the Catholic Church does not teach the Bible to be the infallable word of God. I know the Church does not teach that the Bible is the sole word of God but I always understood that we consider the Bible inerrant. Can you please help me with this.
