Does the Church condone pet euthanasia?

Hello,

We recently had to put our beloved dog, Gypsy, to sleep. We’re all pretty heartbroken.

I’m really trying to work pet euthanasia into my Catholic beliefs, but I’m having a tough time. Does the Church condone pet euthanasia? How can we reconcile our loss?
