Does the Church interpret every Bible passage?

I have a Protestant friend who has over the years asked questions about what Catholic’s believe. Recently he said that he would consider converting except he has one problem. He thinks that the Catholic Church requires one to acknowledge in faith only one interpretaftion of every bible verse. If you would comment on this it will help me to answer him accurately.
