Does the devil know our thoughts?

I agree. Whichever way you look at it we should control our thoughts because like attracts like. Even from a neural point of view memories and concepts may be stored in clusters even though they may reside in different areas of the brain and can be induced to be excited like distributed circuits, apparently. So from an atomic or organic point of view alone like attracts like it would seem.

I agree with Mary888, yes it can read our thoughts.

If we align ourselves with God and holiness we become anathema to it and those like it. We can defend ourselves by orienting our thoughts towards God and our faith. It was once an angel and a priveledged one but remember Jesus said
What I have read and I thought it too was from the exorcists, and I thought from one of the Saints, it may have been Pio or Montfort, was that they must be in close proximity to someone in order to read their thoughts. Of course most of the time, we won’t be aware of their presence. None the less, I try to keep my thoughts and actions guarded.

The response is simple: absolutely not. Theology is agreed on this question
I have heard this as well I must admit, most likely from Fr Amorth, as I have read at least one of his books. I did hear from somewhere about demons being able to do this in close proximity, I can’t remember where. That only God can does make more sense though.
