Does the Easter Vigil Count?

My grandmother thinks that the Easter Vigil does not count for the Easter Sunday obligation to attend Mass. Is this true?
 
Hi,

The Easter Vigil does indeed fulfill the Easter Sunday Mass requirement. I don’t know why your grandmother would think otherwise, since the Saturday night vigil Mass throughout the year fulfills the Sunday obligation.
