Does the Pope get paid?

I was reading an artical about Pope Frances next trip to the US. On the message board like always is a lot of negative and invalid comments. One comment was the amount of money the Pope was paid.

I never thought of the Pope as getting paid but he is doing a job, even thought it is a job given to him. Does the Pope get paid? and if so is it a publice record of how much?

No, the Pope does not receive a salary. His needs are taken care of by the Holy See. Essentially his pay is “room and board.”
