Does the rest from work begin at the Saturday Vigil?

Can somebody please let me know that if the Saturday evening mass is a Sunday mass and as with Judaism the Sabbath begins on Friday night, do the rules pertaining to Sunday such as work rest and whatever else begin on Saturday in following that the Sunday mass begins at this time? Or is it that the Church classifies Saturday evening as the beginning of Sunday as far as the mass is concerned but the rules of Holy Days of Obligation only apply to Sunday proper?

I’ll refer to the Canon Law Society of America’s commentary:

Although the precept to attend Mass may be fulfilled the evening before the feast day, the precept of rest obliges only on the day itself.

The answer is, no, rest from work does not begin at the Saturday evening Mass.
