Does the sun really revolve around the earth?

A man approached me today in McDonalds and told me that all the planets and sun revolve around the earth, and we’re all being taught the wrong order of planets. Then he pulled out his license and his name was Jesus Christ. Then he started shouting about how Catholics need to wake up and do something about the evils in the world…it was really, really creepy.

I am really not qualified to speak on the issue of geocentricity and as long as I don’t go flying off into the etherean I can’t say as I really care all that much. Bob can have any view of the cosmos that he wishes (I really don’t understand why he has chosen this hill the die on), but I do have a very big problem with Bob’s animosity toward the Pope. The Pope can err in his private opinions and actions, but, Bob’s attack on the Vicar of Christ, even calling in question John Paul II’s orthodoxy is very problematic. It seems Bob is following in the rebellion of Luther with out even realizing it. He needs our prayers.
