Does the Sunday obligation apply to toddlers?

My husband works out of town and we don’t get many opportunities to go out alone. Last Saturday a friend offered to watch our 19-month-old while we went out. We chose to go for dinner and then go to Mass together. (We love our daughter but it is hard to concentrate on Mass and take care of her at the same time). I know that she is not capable of sinning yet but was it a sin for my husband and I not to take her to Mass?
