I am reading the Diary of St. Faustina, but I am confused as to how this particular statement “before I come as the just Judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy. Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort.” can be reconciled with God’s immutability. Does this not suggest that God changes? Thank you.

Hi,

If you paint your house, the house undergoes a change, but you are still you. You have not changed. So with God; His immutability is not affected by changes He causes outside of Himself.
