I am betting all the neon paint on the VW microbus that “the whole” does not include regular members of this forum, and certainly not our beloved Mods, who should IMO start their own retreat center. Karl, Karl, we have decided no more cruises, we want our own chalet, goats and tambourines.

They have it in the great room, at least thats how it looked, and they have tambourines in the music if you look through the pictures!
 
If guru Andrew Cohen was 16 when he had his revelation of cosmic consciousness, he had it at the same age as my younger confreres, and most likely under the same influence, man. groovy. inhale. whooosh. man.

now drat it where did I put my cosmic red shawl, must be all that cosmic consciousness when I was young, I am forgetting things.

I could still fit into my bell-bottom jeans. But I’m so old, I forget where I put 'em.

HA Even though I am old, I would remember where I put mine. But LOL I don’t think I could get them above my knees.

Thanks for that reminder Deacon Ed. As much fun as we might poke at this, the reality is at age 94, the priest in charge doesn’t have much time to turn around. We should absolutely pray for his soul, as he may not have anyone else to pray for him.

Eucharist and Mass???

Oh yes, I remember them. Before the realization of cosmic unity and inner star power was realized, Catholics used to attend those quaint things. Now however, spearheaded by the enlightened ones at the Green Mountain Monastery we realize that true Eucharist comes about from passing around a basket of croissants while contemplating a supernova photographed by the Hubble telescope and not from any man made religious ritual. particularly if that ritual comes from a patriarchal source.

No, true Eucharist is much more than that. It is the cosmos, it is the spiral galaxy of Andromeda, it is the crab nebula, it is the dog star, it is the milky way and it is the inner star that burns within us all because as you all know we are made of star matter and we are the universe!!!, Contemplate the cosmos my brothers and sisters:

What’s pitiful about all this “creation spirituality” is that it makes a mockery out of a genuine “creation awareness” taken as the root of the divine and natural moral law.

Is this whole thing for real are is someone perpetrating a massive hoax. I cannot imagine any brain being so mushy as to believe this kind of stuff.

I was wondering the same thing. If it is a hoax, someone has A LOT of time on their hands. I supposed someone here could make a phone call and see if they can reach Father or one of the nuns themselves. . .

Do you mean to say that you would allow the mere hare-brained nature of any project to pose as reasonable doubt for its existence?

I would have thought that your first year of pastoral experience would have cured that. 😃

i’ve still got the picture of me in my bell bottoms and Cher top, and DH in what the kids call his Sonny Bono shirt. we brought it out for laughs for DD#1 40th b-day party, she is 1 in her Earth Day suit (we did the commune, mother earth live off the land thing for a while, ah those were the days, but my cosmic consciousness hit a brick wall when it butt up head first with mortagages, orthodontia and other realities of life).

see, kiddies, what happens to hippies when they get old, take heed from the experience of your elders.

Not necessarly. My cousin never put down the bell bottoms. Still lives in (god help us – WOODSTOCK!) Her kids never got orthodontia, no college. One of the kids is pumping gas and the girl is in a rock band. There is no mortgage (they lost the house). Maybe they could get work in the Vermont monastery.

I admit I have seen and heard things that would curl your hair. But a priest and two nuns supposedly buying into this *****. I am not saying that this cannot happen, but wow.
