Does yoga fall in line with the Catholic church?

I am a peer minister at a university Newman Center and we are always looking for new ways to bring in students. Recently, the idea of teaching a yoga class was brought up. I’ve been told by the gal that wants to teach it that the yoga class she’d be teaching has a catholic spiritual element to it. I don’t know much about yoga, but had always thought it dealt with different positions that represented different gods like sun gods and such. If you could help shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it.
