Does your church use the Sequence on Easter Sunday?

I’ve never been at an Easter Sunday Mass that uses the Sequence as the General Instruction of the Roman Missal says is required (Ch. 2, #64). If it is required, why do churches omit it and why have I never heard it used in my 36 years of attending Easter Masses?

My church never sings/recites the Sequence and I can’t recall hearing it at any of the many parishes I’ve been to for Easter. It’s always bugged me because it’s not optional, but it seems few people realize that.

My cathedral parish sang it in English up until the early 90s. Now, it is sung in Latin as are all of the other sequences through Corpus Christi.

I’ve never been to a Mass where it the Sequence was ommitted. It is always said or sung in the parishes I have attended.
