for the first few years, homeschool groups were tremendously helpful in the areas of resources, law, methodology and socialization.
but i quit homeschool groups years ago because in the mixed groups, the evanelicals treated the Catholics like fourth class Christians and in the Catholic groups, there seemed to be way too many Catholic litmus tests supposedly demonstrating whether or not one may be really ‘serious’ about the Faith.
we’re finishing our 21 year of homeschooling and i have yet to find a group where there isn’t some palpable division along spiritual/ religious lines.
