I am just curious about how popular this weekly devotion and so here’s a poll.

By the way my church has started offering this devotion every Monday at 7:00 PM

Yes, my church does, every Monday night at 7pm as well. I’m in RCIA at that time and can not attend, wish that I could.

My parish has Miraculous Medal novena every Monday. Has for years now. And every October into November, we have solemn Miraculous Medal novena. I LOVE going to novena.

Please disregard the “poll” in my first post. I had some trouble putting one up. So feel free just to put in comments

We have the devotion every Wednesday morning after Mass.

It is very beautiful.

Does any one know where the weekly devotion comes from. My husband and I love it and go every week.

From what I have read, the weekly Mother of Perpetual Help Novena (at least in the United States) began with the Redemptorists at St Alphonsus Church in St. Louis, MO. After that many other churches started offering Weekly Tuesday Novenas. The days may vary like having it on Wednesday or Monday. I know in the Philippines, this devotion is very popular and is held on Wednesdays.

I must say, this is a very beautiful devotion and it is a devotion that I am happy to see is still popular in our modern time.

We have Mother of Perpetual Help on Tuesdays, after the second morning Mass, and after the 7 p.m. Mass. 👍
