The Vatican released new rules on feeding tubes. Does your religion make rules on end of life issues?

The Catholic-run hospitals have to follow the new rules. Would knowing this keep your from getting treatment at a Catholic hospital?

The rule is that if someone is in a vegetative state, a feeding tube must be inserted and it can’t be removed. Exceptions are made if the insertion site gets infected repeatedly or if the person has another fatal disorder. That’s the basic rule. I’m sure it’s more detailed than that, but I think that’s enough info to ask the 2nd question.

The debate over the rule itself is for another forum, so I’m just asking the 2 questions here.
