Just a little aside. I know of only five Jesus films which choose to follow the possible way(s) Yehohanan, the man from Givat ha-Mivtar, was crucified.

The Passion (2008)
Both The Last Temptation and Jesus of Montreal follow the initial reconstruction of Yehohanan’s posture by Nicu Haas (one nail through both ankles), which allows for self-censorship, given how both portrayals choose to show Jesus naked on the cross. The Miracle Maker follows both this (for Jesus) and the newer reconstruction by Eliezer Sekeles and Joe Zias (for the thief crucified on Jesus’ left - our right - as well as for a brief hallucination by Judas). The Gospel of John uses Sekeles and Zias’ reconstruction exclusively. The Passion seems to follow again Haas’ version.
Most other films meanwhile often just copy ‘classical’ Western portrayals, down to the feet being pierced by one nail. Some more famous recent examples are:
