Doesn't Enoch and Elijah disprove that heaven was closed?

I entered this post previously but apparently I must have done something wrong. So here goes again.

Mr Keatings newsletter dated April 8, 2003 in his defense of purgatory, he stated heaven was closed preredemption. How does he defend this when confronted with GN 5:24 and Kg 2:11 that Enoch and Elijah went to heaven?

Dear TIA,

Karl Keating was correct. The Church teaches that heaven was closed until Jesus redeemed humanity. Enoch and Elijah were redeemed by Jesus, but entered heaven early. They were exceptions. God can do that!
