A ploy to get higher ratings? I would have thought that Meg wouldve been the first to go since she got no respect on the show. anyway, creator of the show, Seth McFarlane, an atheist, ironically killed off one of his most vile characters --thr hard drinking, womanizing, atheist dog! (But nevertheless, a funny character)

I don’t like the show, but Brian was really the only one I kind of liked. Now that he’s gone, I don’t give the show one more season. When you lose one of your most loved characters, the show won’t go anywhere but down.

What?!

I didn’t see the episode. I thought it was an internet joke. Brian usually fills the role of the audience surrogate and author avatar.

This gaping hole in the dynamic really smells like someone wants to end the show and move on to other projects.

with the magic of fake tv, it could all be a dream.
Or they could pull a Kenny…

Sounds like McFarlane is trying to kill the show backhandedly rather than just admit he wants to move on.

I quit watching that show when I converted a few yrs ago but brian was one of the most disgusting characters after the perverted friend of peters I forget his name anyways shouldnt we be glad that a show supporting bestiality, drinking drugs, homosexuality, pedophilia, anti catholic sentiments, domestic violence and murder is going to probably lose its following nowt that the drunk pervert dog is dead

The whole show can go, and they can take the Simpsons with it.

hmmm weird first the Simpsons kill mrs krababble off and now Family guy kills brian

The Simpsons didn’t just kill Krababble off. Her voice actress died and the truncated the character out of respect for her work.

Yeah I think it’s a ploy to get ratings. The Cleveland Show was just cancelled and apparently Seth MacFarland is making some new show, which will probably follow the same mold as the others. My husband watches all of those so he keeps me in the loop haha. But no, I don’t think Brian is dead for good. He’ll probably come back next episode.
Let’s pray for those involved in the creation of those shows that their hearts will be moved toward the Truth that is Jesus Christ.

Can you say “new coke” vs “classic coke?” I thought it was going to be Quagmire. I don’t watch it anymore, but others here do. I am too busy online!

Family Guy stopped being funny a long time ago. I stopped watching it. I quit watching The Simpsons too and American Dad. When Futurama came back on air it was horrible. They’re all terrible now. Maybe the same team writes all of them? They’re all garbage.

As for Brian. He was never my favorite character but he had some good stuff with Stewie. My fave episode was when Brian became a singer with Frank Sinatra Jr. All of his leftie atheist **** was really annoying though so I don’t really care that he died.

I was really upset that they killed off Brian. Why not a more dry and boring character like the Doctor, or Mort, or Bonnie or Mayor West.

What’s strange is that Brian is Seth McFarlane.

He lectured at my daughter’s college, and he said so. He is Brian, and Brian is him.

So why did he kill himself?

I urge people who criticize The Simpsons to actually watch it. This show is consistently one of the most family-supportive and religion-supportive shows on television. The episode about Homer and Bart converting to Catholicism was spot-on and wonderful! And the episodes where Homer and Marge are tempted to betray each other are also wonderful–always, ALWAYS, Homer and Marge have chosen to dismiss the temptation and stick with each other exclusively. You don’t see this kind of thing on other televisions shows.

And remember that the Simpsons is not a Seth McFarlane production.

I used to watch the simpsons all the time and I loved it. But it has gone so far downhill it’s unbelievable. I tried watching it for a long time but I would watch episode after episode and never laugh once.

Exactly! dont take this seriously, they will probably bring him back in a couple episodes, as part of a larger plot or something, remember the coyote in roadrunner, he was ‘killed off’ in every episode, yet there he was at the start of the next show, Im guessing Brian will be back soon.

Im actually surprised this is making headlines…a cartoon dog was killed off in an episode…?? I can name hundreds of cartoons where characters were killed off…duh?

I dont watch this show anymore, but used to watch it alot when it first came out, It got to the point when it got to be way too offensive to me, but the writing in general is funny!

Where is this coming from and where are you watching current episodes? I only get this show on the Cartoon Network and all they show is repeats,
